The harvest has in its idea collection. To gather which presupposes a giving end. Why the upside down saturnine beak?

The tonality of the hues – which brighten a slick richness in the right-minded choice of yellow which ushers that muted melancholy, and the primary vivids in relation to the crowbird-idea, move onto mystery, if not mystique in the otherwise plainview of the plain presented to us by Dustin Hodges at Sebastian Gladstone.

An appetizing adventure? Certainly a drama in the theatre of the 8 collectable works, likely appreciated as a collective set. My personal favorite is ‘Barley Patch 4’ (2025). The novel textures gathered by the artist with his idea of feathers is breathtaking. We have that spontaneous form, that confidence of true understanding of the objective fluffiness of ruffles that is needed to be consumed, the personal touch which involves fine arts high is exactly for the base reason: knowing true goodness with one’s body’s conscious, waking, experience.

The commanding appearance of the compositions, largely over 60”x60”, place that healthy weight, to entice the mind towards involving oneself in the mystery. For the Barley Patch is not social alone – it’s an actively rational one. The timing that is involved to construct the order of the governance of future well-being of the body; that knowing in the completeness of shelter represented to us with barn images; that precious knowing of not oneness in the apparent cacophony of the birds.
Let me not suggest that this is a depressing artwork. The beautiful excitement is found in that harmony of color tuned fine.
