‘Suspirium’ by James Busby @ Lowell Ryan Projects
James Busby shines at representing finery, of creating the instance of refined in his artful compositions eloquently exhibited in his ‘Suspirium’ opening at Lowell Ryan Projects. His graphite completeness breathes a new idea to stencil formation in the visual arts. A confidence in extension with such delicate ornamentations of gentle completion. We have the human representation of ideal form with each geometrical placement.
And within the virginal attempts, a breath of life. That natural touch, that wondrous wonder which effects our very breath! Each morning, a bird sings, a tree breathes, a life is made new. Complete in its return to its goal of moving itself more.
And it is in this desire, were we to be so bold with the botanical, of more, that needs a blank canvas to wipe the slate clear of ideas. Of manifestations. Of dark visions. That which we know is not in the honestly sincere – in the pure nature of ideal vision. For the ideal is necessarily beautiful in completeness. And this appearance is an awareness given to mankind to steer his judgments in choice, to continue to perceive a more beautiful way tomorrow.
Mr. Busby does not finish dazzling the soul with his more impeccably polished geometrical patterns, which invite a strong yet unpretentious meticulousness to the impacts. There is no extension in tactile sensation, in other words, by the artist with his patterns. The indelible qualities of physically arranging the gradients informs us of a further idea of serenity, in that the animation is not attempting to motion but to balance our sensation of the world, towards the ideal – and this is heavenly serenity in knowing there is peace on Earth. It is realized here.
