‘Open Sesame’ by Alexa Guariglia @ Moskowitz Bayes
The scene-shaping apparent to the large dimensions, by Alexa Guariglia at Moskowitz Bayes, is a weighing of monumental wonder in the traveening and careening which is blaring; yet soft in tone; celebratory but effecting a more cerebral end than the optically tantalizing.

Felicity smartly defines the opening. The exhibition is rife with play. Certainly Open Sesame has the chance of subterfuge. But why be so hostile? Can not money-vaults require the expenditures of the accounting of head lamps to see the perfect accord of honest earnings? Why imbue darkness with the whole order of the painting, which is consistently Gouache, watercolor and ink on paper moving the pallets pallidly and therefore less erupting?

Or how about Den of Antiquity? No complaints here. Where are the frowns? The tension of haunting, of bleak, gloom is obliterated by the friendly spirits. Companionship I see.

At the most ornamentally labrythine, there is Water Signs. A spectacle of order with the intricate details of the artists working-mind astutely choosing the media, informing texture appropriately where needed. It’s a healthy occupation of the brain, while in working contemplation; for the nervous system to autonomously be absorbing the complexity of the theatrics.

Last, the style deployed in Earthtones and Soft Edges is invoking of a winter-pointillism, towards my bias with Soft Edges and a more complex cosmos than a generic landscape.
